YEAR 7-12 [AVAILABLE FOR FACE-TO-FACE, ONLINE AND SMALL GROUP TUTORING SESSIONS] Hi! My name is Stephen Anastasiou, I recently completed the 2022 HSC, achieving a 99+ score in Extension 2 Mathematics, Extension 1 Mathematics and Economics. On top of this, In year 11, I achieved a 99+ score for Mathematics Advanced under the accelerated Mathematics program.

I am currently enrolled in UNSW Bachelor of Actuarial Studies, which includes a range of high school mathematics and economics topics during its first and second years.

My year 12 students who completed the 2023 HSC achieved exceptionally highly, with an 83% Band 6 performance rate (2/2 Extension 1 Mathematics, 3/3 Advanced Mathematics, 4/5 Economics and 1/2 Standard Mathematics), and a 100% rate of achieving a score above 85 for said related subjects. (All of these figures are before scaling)

My hourly rate for a one-on-one session is $75, however a two student lesson is $45 per student, and $35 per student for a 3+ student session (up to 5 students). I have a thorough and recognised passion for tutoring, as I enjoy the learning process as well as finding joy in providing advice for students regarding the HSC experience as a whole beyond the work specific to the subjects taught within our lessons. Beyond my offered subjects, my expertise falls into study organisation and exam preparation beyond said study, as well as maintaining a work/life balance to ensure a clear head coming into the examination periods. Experience

I have experience in one-on-one tutoring with public school, selective school, and private school students ranging from year 7 to year 12. Aside from private tutoring, I am also hired at First Education tutoring centre, thus having also experienced tutoring group sessions. Even when I was still attending High School I embarked in a range of tutoring programs catered towards students in year 8 and below. I myself have also had various tutors during my high school years, which has allowed me to adopt various teaching styles and methods of which I can apply to a larger range of students to ensure optimal teacher and student synthesis.

Qualifications

I achieved a 99 Atar, including a 99 in 4u Mathematics, 99 in 3u mathematics, and a 99 in economics. Further, I achieved a 99 in Mathematics Advanced whilst in Year 11, as I completed the accelerated mathematics program. I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies at UNSW as well as tutoring various High School Students, thus I am still involved in studying and teaching the current HSC syllabus. As previously mentioned, I am also employed under First Education Tutoring centre, and thereby have my ABN and Working With Children Check (WWCC).Rates

This fee includes availability to look attend to student and parent enquiries throughout the week regarding work-based questions, marking student's work and difficulties with homework.
