Melbourne tutor in Indonesian, Latin

I'm a qualified and VIT registered secondary school languages teacher. I've also completed degree level studies in both Indonesian and Latin. I'm very passionate about all aspects of languages, such as understanding grammar, building vocabulary, written and oral communication skills, and learning about cultures. I have a very deep background in education, having worked as a tertiary music and humanities teacher at Victoria University for many years. Language teaching is an exciting new venture for me; I completed a Diploma of Secondary Education in languages in 2018.

I am available to arrange tutoring on any evening (Melbourne time) or on weekends. We can organise face-to-face classes in the Melbourne area, or anywhere at all by video conferencing.

My classes are typically 1-hour long (longer/shorter can be arranged). I focus on conversation, theory and grammar, vocabulary and composition. We can work mainly within a specific school curriculum (I.e. completing homework tasks and exam preparation) or I can develop a completely fresh and personalised course of learning.

Sessions, exercises and activities can be tailored to any school curriculum. I am familiar with most of the standard Latin texts (Oxford, Cambridge, Wheelock's, Oulton, McKeown) as well as many Indonesian school texts.

Experience

I have been employed for many years as a tertiary teacher in music and humanities at Victoria University. In 2018 I completed a diploma of secondary education specialising in languages, and have recently commenced private tutoring in Latin and Indonesian.
